Im still using a Canon Powershot - A470 (and for close ups I hold a 7x - 10x loop onto the lens ... Works pretty well as you see , just need to hold still .. lol)
The cam has a "Super Macro" Feature which lets me get full coin images **with a White Balance Evaluation" Tool as well to level out the lighting .. I'm still putzing around with some ideas with my lighting , seems one thing I need to do is shut off the room lights so I dont get different lighting like you can see on the left side of both obv/rev here ..
