Yay! I just joined your club I got a Leg-12 or 13 hard to tell, my wife called me and told me my EagleStick Boat coin came in. I paid 38.85 shipped. I am at work now but the listing has ANT AVG III VIR R P C - Galley right, banner at prow right. Rev.- Two standards with eagle between them. Patrae mint: 32-31 BC = SEAR RCV I (2000), 1479, page 283 - RRC 544

I'm still partial to these coins. Even the worn ones. It is hard to tell exactly which legion, but the history of these is pretty darn clear. I believe it may be hard to find other coins where the history is as clear. Congrats on your acquisition.

Just a few days ago I added a Mark Anthony Legion II Denarius to my collection. I bought it from a reputable coin dealer as I am just starting out in collecting Ancient Coins.
What I like about this coin is the relative strength of the design as well as the iridescent sheen in the recesses of the coin. This made me overlook the obvious "off centre strike on the obverse. It is a real little "gem" in my collection
I have attached some pics of the Denarius.

How common is this iridescence in ancient coins?
