I'm just wondering what a good price is to buy a ounce of silver at. Right now I'm paying around $35 no tax or shipping for a ounce of silver. Is this a good price to be buying at? if so I'm going to try and add alot more of silver. Thanks

With silver moving sideways across the line at 31.50, if you can get out the door at 35 bucks total per oz. tax an all you are doing just fine. IMO anyhow....

What kind of silver are you buying? Maples?

If it is Junk silver, it can usually purchased at spot.

Was wondering the same thing. Give us some data and the pros can tell you what you should be paying down to the penny. Pics are nice , too.

any country mint (Eagle, Maples, so on) I have figured to be around $3-4 over spot per ounce, but regular ounces should be purchased at spot to $1 over.

This is my opinion and knowledge of course. And what I can purchase at my local coin shop, now for coins like half dollars/ morgans/ quarters/ dimes I can buy those at spot at my local coin shop.

There is no tax on any pure bullion in Canada.
Maples, eagles $3.00-$5.00 over spot is average
Common silver bars, rounds, spot-$1.50

Is $20 shipping alright? I really want to grab a first majestic 5 oz bar. I believe there isn't tax. Correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks

If you don't care what form the silver comes in, I would say buy the U.S. 90% silver. I have a harder time finding places that sell it for more than a dollar over spot than not. Plus you get a piece of U.S. history with every coin you purchase!

i agree with cjtm, it has slight numismatic coin value due to the history whether the condition is bad or good. It is still much older than a silver ounce and like stated before you can normally buy at spot or very close to.

Silver seems to have hit a glass ceiling. Probably agood time to buy. Its only a matter of time before prices go up because of some fear of economical collapse. Do you guys think silver prices will shoot up just prior to the mayan end of the world later this year?

Silver an gold have moved more sideways in the last month or so, then ANYTIME since I got into PM's, well over a year now....

Sure seems like safe time to buy. Unless you are BarryG of course, as we all know as soon as he makes another order silver will drop a buck in value an set their like a beached whale for a few moths. Rof JK BarryG just razzin you there a bit buddy, as you dry sense of humor over it all is classic....

Funny thing is, I know you are waiting on silver to hit 30 to buy again, an ofcourse you have jammed up the entire system, lol....
