Just found a 1968S with double date and mm, but not doubling anywhere else. Unfortunately, it is circulated with nicks and scratches. Nice to find something nice, however, once in a while!

to CCF. Most of the time when the date and MM are doubled then it is just MD ( Machine Doubling). A good photo would be helpful.

Welcome to CC!

Like John said, usually when people see "doubling" it's actually " Machine Doubling" which is actually damage caused during the minting process. It adds no value to the coin and is nothing like the more valuable "hub doubling".

It is still impressive to see, even if it is just Machine Doubling, especially on the copper cents. I have some from 1968 S as well, that I found roll searching. And I have even seen some sell on ebay for hundreds of dollars. Kind of crazy people would pay that much for it, but it has major doubling that can be seen with the naked eye.
