I have a 2001 Kentucky quarter (D). It is an odd color. It is not gold but almost the same color as a sacagawea. Does anyone know of any error that may have caused this?

Not an error. That is toning and seems to be more common wih the State Quarters.

Yeah - I have a big jar of State Quarters, many of which exhibit that golden-ish toning. Some are slight and some are quite pronounced.
