My experience is that bullion and numismatic investments are counter cyclical the the shocks and scaremarkets of Wall Street.

When the stockmarket looks bad, some money is pulled out. That money has to be invested elsewhere, and some of it winds up in bullion and numismatics.

When the stockmarket and property market picks up, the numismatic market flattens, and some bullion is sold off to be re invested back into shocks and scares.
