Good find in my shopping change again. Of my three 2009 5c coins these two showed up side by side. Thought I had checked the same coin twice for a minute.

Would there be an intermediate stage out there somewhere do you think?

Hey Dibby33, I've been looking at the pics for ages and thought I had a problem with my eyes as well. The only thing I can see that RAD change might be referring to is the very slight kind of "double rim ?", but I'm not sure.

Sorry everyone, must remember to mark out the errors
Does this one make it clearer? For a small coin I thought the Cuds were fairly substantial looking, from my novice point of view.

Would the one on the left be a later version of the one on the right (sorry it's a bit dark) as the die deteriorated further? Comments or opinions welcome.

It's quite possible that it is a deteriorated die showing the progression of the Cud.

If many more are found, it might help to confirm the theory, but it could be pretty hard to prove. It's a fence sitter!

There could be more, showing different stages.
