Hi everyone, I am celebrating having recently acquired a much better camera by asking a question relating to this ancient that looks much like my Victorinius bronze. However, the legend does not really seem to indicate that it is of the aforementioned usurper. Do you guys have any idea? Any help IDing this coin would be appreciated!

I'm thinking Postumus. Possibly:

RIC 318 Postumus AR Antoninianus. Cologne mint, 268 AD. IMP C POSTVMVS P F AVG, radiate, draped & cuirassed bust right / PAX AVG, Pax standing left with branch & sceptre.

Thanks for the input, everyone. So, out of curiosity, what kind of grade would you assign to my coin? I am just wondering since I got it in an uncleaned lot, and despite the porous surface I feel as though this one turned out fairly nicely.

It certainly in not EF or even F in my estimation. But I might say it is in Good condition and certainly not a bad coin from an uncleaned lot. I think you did an outstanding job on the cleaning and detail.

jwharper- Thanks! Well, it was not really that dirty when I got it. I think that the dealer may have already tried to clean it, but found it to be a bit porous and then threw it in the uncleaned lot. So I just put it in water for a bit and scrubbed a bit of recent dirt (probably from being in a bucket of actually uncleaned coins) off of it.

I tend to grade low. The reverse is slightly better than the obverse, so overall I would grade it at VG.
