Perhaps....maybe....a bit too big to put in your pocket.

Before now, I thought it was the Yap Island stone money, some coins so heavy that they are impossible to move.

This is a few hours north of me in Sudbury, it is the same as the 1951 nickel that is in circulation.

That proposed one in Germany looks more like a baseball than a coin.

Think of how big vending machines and parking meters would have to be if they minted coins like that!

If you put a coin of this size into a parking meter, I think, you can stay in the spot for a year or two.

Ok I'm still to new here, so I can't post the link, but the Perth Mint actually minted a coin that you need BOTH belt AND braces on your pants if you have it in your pocket.

Google " Perth Mint 1 million dollar coin" and it should come up as the first non-paid for link.

It is also legal tender, or so I'm told.

Cheers

This is the big loonie, not as big as the nickel.

It is 15 minutes north of the SOO, south west of Sudbury, it was on the main Hyw. but they moved the hyw over a couple of miles.

I don't find that thing looks like a coin at all. What coin is it supposed to be? I just don't see it.

Now, the Canadian ones look like the real thing! Those are cool!
