I don't know if anyone else follows the NFL draft but today's the day, or the first day, anyway. While waiting for my team to get on the clock, I'll be cataloging coins and taking new pics. Anyone else tuning in?

I'll probably watch a bit of it. I'm a big Vikings fan, so I won't have to watch long to see who they pick, barring a trade of course. I probably won't be taking coin pics during it though, although that sounds like a good time killer between picks!

I was born to track the NFL draft lol and a Falcon fan since 1980. I was a house league ice hockey goalie for years an love to follow an track the NHL playoffs (I pull for Boston an they are out) as well, but nothing surpases football as far as I am concerned. Like most I may lean toward college for the purity of the game, where as many in the NFL is just going through the motions an collecting large paycheck, but still love it, esp the draft....
I have been pretty busy here at the shop today, as I have sold four 10 oz dragon bars, 11 pandas, five more lunars an kooks, as well as the old early 80's 1 oz. gold Panda and our 1 oz. Buffalo 24k, pretty happy about that. I am goin now to see what I can find, odd they would start it mid week in the middle of the day though....

I see it takes off tonight in prime time at 8 o'clock eastern time, and I get off work at 6 so I will be watching for sure. Minus my girlfriend having the Tivo set to double record, in which case I will be watching American Idol or Grey's Anamtomy. Enter cartoon picture of a guy with a hangmans rope around his own neck an tongue sticking out . Since we dont have that caption this guy here will have to do .... Only my girlfriend could find a way to drive me nuts when she is not even home , freakin double records. Guess I will have to go lay on the bed an watch it with the dogs looks like, lol ....

As a Cowboys fan since 1977, I'll be impatiently waiting for pick 14. There are two players I want- Fletcher Cox or David DeCastro. Aside from those guys, it's Mark Barron, Dontari Poe, Stephon Gilmore, Luke Kuechly, or Quinton Coples, in no particular order. If we don't come away with one of those names, I'm going to be one unhappy numismatician.

Mark Barron, former SEC Bama saftey is where I would go no doubt. Can't go wrong there. If I was drafting I would only draft players from Alabama, LSU, and Boise state, but that is just me, lol....

Hawk,
So who do you want Atlanta to snag? Barron will be long gone. I heard the Pats are trading up for him.

Well T, the falcons do not pick until like pick 48 mid second round unfortunately, as usual they traded their picks away....
The mock board has them taking an anchor guard from Iowa St., a 333 pound guy whos name is too tough to prounounce or spell, lol. Can never go wrond shearing up Matt Ryans blind side for the next 10 or 12 years I figure, even though they said he may end up playing tackle. Never a sexy pick, but football games have always been won an lost in the trenches, period....
I pull for the Titans as well, an they are hoping to get Gilmore to corner back from South Carolina. But if I was them an going after that position, I would get Dre Kirpatrick the corner back from Bama, who is slated to go pick 23 to Detroit....
It is gonna be ridiculous how many Bama players go in the first round this year, I think like a record number is expected in that regard....

Sorry. I forgot the trade with Cleveland last year. You got a good WR out of it, though. I know the OL guy you're talking about. Sounds Samoan, right. He was mocked to go to Dallas at 46, believe it or not. He's a player. Not sure he'll be there for either of us, though. He has 1st round talent.

Well, ice hockey isn't that big here in South Africa.. I'm re-watching a couple of seasons of QI tonight while playing some online poker... cataloging coins while doing something else somehow feels wrong.. I need to give them my full attention :)

R-D,
I'm trying to figure out the QI abbreviation but nothing's coming to mind. Any help with that? If it's an ice hockey reference, that explains why I'm clueless.

I am a great fan of the NFL. (Green Bay Packers fan) Draft not televised in Australia though.
I get to see the match of the day with only about 10% of the advertising seen in the States.
I am also a home town supporter of the Sydney Swans in Australian Rules football.
Oh,yes! I have also been to a few matches at Old Trafford, the Manchester United home ground.

Man you futbol no doubt, that must have been some experience. I always related to an watched soccer growing up playing ice hockey as they are one in the same. Boring to most but great defense is never boring to me. I love to watch the World cup, an can't wait till 2014....
And it 2018 I am hoping some way some how they pick Neyland stadium for one of the venues so I can go watch a game, amongst 107 thousand plus fans....
