I found this 1964 D nickel today and noticed on the back that Monticello had doubles on the 2nd column from each side. I did darken the photo a little so that hopefully you can see what I am talking about.

The front of the coin itself does not look that bad.

I think you are either seeing the tall windows or the two pillars that are closer to the main building under the "porticle" or Venetian porch.
This is on every nickel, get another better nickel with some detail.

Column was not a good word to use I guess. From each end of the building the 2nd window on each end.

I just see a plain ol' nickel here. And as a nickel searcher, a year I see far too often at that.

Really tough to see that with the photo , any chances of getting a closer photo of what you see exactly?

I tried to resize the photo after I saved it but , no go just got blurred out ...

It is a rather common Nickle date , and my guess would be a Machine Doubling effect maybe .. or something on them lines where the die maybe slid or shifted alittle bit ? .. Just a guess but clearer photos would be a bit easier to really notice the finer details ...
