Outstanding PG ... absolutely wonderful additions to your set and lovely coins indeed. I've said the following before ... and I will say it again for the record ... you breadth and depth of collecting interests is inspiring to me and many others ... and the completion of this tough set is just another example of the commitment you have made to the numismatic hobby ... yet alone the valued contributions that you have so kindly shared with all of us. Quote: now free from their plastic prisons and snuggled into their new Dansco home Really! Geppers amigo ... your are the MAN to crack out $4K plus of coins. Assume you have them in a Dansco 7094? I keep my circulated set in that album ... my PCGS MS set is still living in their no-air plastic holders. A few observations if I may on the coins themselves ... L.W. Hoffecker money-grab Spanish Trail is a tough coin in any grade ... as you know one of the three classic silver type coins with 10,000 mintage ... your ex-PCGS MS66 example exhibits the cleanest obverse fields I have ever seen (blurry photo notwithstanding). The reverse shows some field hits consistent with the grade and a minor splash of peripheral toning ... lovely coin indeed. The King of the Classics ... 1928 Hawaiian. Welcome to the small and exclusive club of dedicated enthusiasts who own one of these. The coin appears to be fairly graded based on what I can see from your photos ... the misc bag hits and marks are consistent with an MS64 grade ... Excellent accomplishment PG ... thrilled to see the photos of these rare, historical and lovely coins. Looking forward to sharing in whatever numismatic venture you choose to pursue next. David

Congrats again on completing your set! Terrific accomplishment! Nice coins indeed! I had no idea until today that you cracked your coins out of their holders for placement in an album -- you've definitely got more "guts" than me! When I first started collecting US commemoratives, I was purchasing raw coins and keeping them in a Dansco Type Set album -- still have the album, but it is devoid of coins these days. Have you posted images of your other coins? I've only been on CCF since November, so I'm still playing catch up re: where everyone is with their collections.

Thanks for the kind words David. I also bought around 50 Morgans to put up on the Bay to try and get a little pecunia back in the ole banking account. Also got a great deal on a lot of FEC's and they will be going up there also. My next venture (when the bank account stabilizes) is going to be a good VF+ set of Liberty nickels I'm a thinkin'. With only four keys, it should be a piece of cake (famous last words)... After that will be Shield nickels (at least that's my thinking for now).. We do know I tend to ricochet around a bit don't we?

@commems... I have put a few up on the CCF, but most of them haven't been shared. You and David have per capita higher graded coins than I. I think I have a couple MS-63's with the vast majority being MS-64 and a few higher. The Spanish Trail is my highest ex-"graded" commem, but I do have a couple of RAW ones that may grade higher, specifically a California Diamond Jubilee and an Albany. Thanks for your kind comments also.... PG
