So just as I was mentioning earlier how I havent been able to find an Antietam coin that I liked I browsed around ebay again and happened to find this one.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1937-Antiet...897238983939

I am always hesitant about coins of this nature being raw on ebay but they do have a return policy and if I do end up making the buy will make sure I can work something out with them that the buy is conditional upon it being authenticated and graded.

My question on this coin for those who are much much better at it than me would be what would this coin grade? I am guessing mid 60s which would be inline with the asking price, but I do not know enough about grading to make anything more than a guestimate.

It's a beautiful looking coin ... my assessment from the photos is original surfaces with a strong strike and nice luster.

They are asking MS65 price ... and IMHO the two significant bag hits on the reverse (Burnside Bridge arch and the water field in front of the bridge) might hold it back from gem MS65 grade.

Hoping it works out for you.

Nickel thank you as always.

Right now I think I will look around some more and see what else is out there while I think it over, but I definitely have that one saved in my watch list.
