I have seen a commemorative coin set on ebay that I really like. It is the 2008 Shield 7 pc set. I am not sure what a good price would be for these coins. I have found them for around $6.00 plus $6.00 for shipping. Is there a better place to purchase this coin set? Thanks for your help.

Usual ebay rules apply of being sure of what you are getting but the price looks OK. They would have originally retailed for around 15 to 20 pounds. Earlier sets from the 1970's now resell for around 5 pounds so enjoy the coins for the design but don't expect to make any investment gains - well not in this century anyway.

Perhaps you could find a person living in the UK who could get you the set for 1.88 which is like $2.20 plus postage. Include a 2 pound coin and it'll be cheaper, though not as shiny.

I think that would be a great idea, but I do not know anyone from that area. I am new to coin collecting and my network is small at this point.

Get your posts up on here and I'm sure one of the gang living in the UK will be happy to swap. I'd love to get my hands on some US coins, but, er, I live in China.
