I would say NGC gave it an AU50

OK, after digesting and analyzing the overwhelming response to this thread, I must say you got it right the first time, nohope. I guess this is an indication of the response I'll get when I try to peddle this coin here, eh?

I got a little over melt the last time I peddled a Sovereign here but then it was only Ef ish...

The reverse is just soooo cool on these coins.....my grandfather gave me a couple of upper canada pennies when I was a kid (they have the same design) and I have loved them ever since.
As for the grade I would have gone xf but gold is soft, so au50 seems about right. Cool coin!
