This came in an uncleaned lot last summer. There was one ottoman empire coin, one byzantine and the rest where roman coins in this lot. This bronze/copper disc is 17mm at its widest and 2mm thick with the line across it being 2.8mm thick. weight is 3.4gms. This unknown coin or button was cleaned until the metal is showing and I still cant make out much details. I was just wondering if anybody can pinpoint what kind of coin this might be if it is a coin. All have been identified and attributed but this one. thanks in advance.

It might have been a coin at one time, but it's beyond being able to be IDed.

On the second pic, I can almost imagine seeing a portrait facing right--but it might just be my eyes.
The other side has a strong design element that somebody might recognize--but it doesn't ring any bells for me.

Thanks for looking I was thinking this could be a Greek or maybe a judean coin if it wasn't just some sort if button but I think it's probably too far gone for an ID.
