Hi all, just wondering what sort of price all you guy's would pay for Silver 1966 Round 50 Cent pieces?

Today's price (2/5/12) on australian-threepence is $10.24 worth of silver.

Would you be paying that if you wanted one? Would you pay $10.24 (bullion) + 10%-15% because it's a coin?

Bullion + 10% = $11.26
Bullion + 15% = $11.78

Do you think you pay less or more when bulk buying?

I would pay $9 if I saw them at a weekend market or garage sale. Of course I would offer less to start with but $9 is a good price that a bit of profit can be made on.

If youre looking at longer term investment in silver then paying spot probably isn't too bad because where else will you get less than spot silver? predecimal silver maybe? try selling that and you'll get a lot further from spot than you would with round 66.

I would be buying as mamy as possible for $7.50!

For circulated example's I'd not go over $10 max.
That said I would pay a premium for nice UN-circulated or better examples.

I love the uniqueness of this coin its a real pity they are not rare and most buyers want them for the silver content only to melt
