I have done a job like that using two hard rubber sheets with the coin between and the whole compressed in a vice. Works well with hammered coins.

I have seen dealers straighten bent coins with two rubber sheets.
Dooly, that's definitely an improvement!

What I find interesting is the "MBN" underneath the wreath--it uses two different style punches.

Superb job, I may try it on some of my coins as well
I was trying to figure out a nice way - those are gold though, I don't want to have marks on those as the metal is softer.

Yeah, well done! I did the same to thin 1930's Soviet kopeck and amazed how well it worked. At least if someone is looking it through 2x2 he can't say it wast bent one earlier.
