Is it like this coin?

If so, that's a die clash. As far as I know, 1996 is the most common year for die clashes on a toonie, although they're not that easy to find. I had to go through 2 boxes and a half to find one.

This might be the die crack extra mountain then. I say might, because I have yet to see it, but that's about where I'd think the crack would be.
Rest in Peace
