This is the 88 D with reverse of the 89 when the mint changed the designer initials.

Any idea as to the rarety of this? Condition opinions welcomed. I found it last week. Thanks

Nice find! I may have found an 89 with and 88, will post it later. For condition you should also post this on the thread for grading.

The P & D are considered rare, more than scarce but not extremely rare.

As to grade, I can't go MS. It looks lightly circulated. I usually get beat down on this. AU58

D's are definitely rarer than P's...I've seen several BU D's bring $300 or more...the 88's are quite a bit lower. Nice find
