Need some suggestions. Want two magnifiers. One desk mounted with light. The second one hand held. As you know there are many out there. What do you suggest. Ten power, twenty, etc. Thanks.

I use a Bausch & Lomb triple loupe.(5x 10x 20x).

The 5x or 10x with good lighting are great for grading and
examining surface detail.10x probably the best.

Then I combine the 5x and 10x to look for varieties.
Of course with my eyesight I need all the help I can get.

hope this helps

Try https://www.sciplus.com web site. It's a science place that carries a fantastic amount of optics. Not sure what they have on line but I go the the store and there is virtually thousands of optical items. Magnifiers of every possible size, type, shape, price, etc. Of course you could also just type in optical items in Google and see what pops up. There is a place somewhere also called Edmund Scientific that handles all types of optical items but they are expensive. Myself, I just pick up stuff at the flea markets.

Wardtom084, I use an Eschenbach 3/6/9 and find it head and shoulders above anything else out there.
