The Date Of A Jersey One Twelth Of A Shilling

Sheencrofter Valued Member Ireland 201 Posts	Posted 05/05/2012 2:59 pm I have three of the above coins. One is dated 1923 and showing George V. However, the two other coins are dated 1945 and showing Elizabeth II. As George V was on the throne then, I am wondering how I can date these two. Also on the 1945 coins there are the words "Island of Jersey Liberated 1945 ". Many thanks, Sheen Report this Post to the Staff

The Island of Jersey 1945 bronze One Twelfth of a Shilling coin (LIBERATED 1945)(dated 1945) was issued in 1949, 1950 and 1952 with King George VI on the obverse. It was also issued in 1954 with Queen Elizabeth on the obverse. Report this Post to the Staff
