Could someone tell me how to best ship rolls of coins? Don't want to cause any damage and don't want to hire Brinks to transport but if we Trade dollar rolls how is the best way to do it?

Thanks

I wrap all coins, whether they are in 2X2's or rolls in a paper towel and then tape the towel very securely to hold it together. Done very tightly it provides extra protection to the roll inside. I then ship in a bubble mailer which will run around 60 cents from WallyWorld. Have not had a roll bust yet!

I don't like a padded envelopes for rolls. Use a box and maybe a priority box (free for the PO)with good padding. I like bubble wrap. HTH

Hi, I haven't mailed 'rolls' but I have mailed many coins at one address.
What I use is a vaccummed food saver then insert them in a bubble envelope. Coins don't jingle in the envelope.

I believe coins travel a little better than rolls.

We ship a fair amount of rolls. I wrap the rolls in bubble wrap and ship them in a box with larger bubble wrap for padding. It's a little more work, but our rolls have always arrived intact.

I've sent rolls of coins, loose coins, etc in the USPostal's flat rate boxes all the time. Haven't hada problem in years. Used to be $7.70 but now $8.30 I think. I use the newpaper for padding. Put as much stuff in those boxes as will fit and surround them with crumbled up newspapers. Most people already have newspapers so you don't have to go out and buy anything additional for mailing. However, I do go around the edges of the box with that clear wrap tape so can not be easily opened. When they ask at the post office what is inside I tell them books for my son at school. Don't like anyone knowing what may be inside. The loose coins I've put virtually thousands of cents in plastic freezer type bags and also surrounded them with newpapers. I like that one price regardless of the weight. One time I shipped a box full of knives to someone and the lady at the post office said if that wasn't flat rate it would have cost me $75 for the wieght.
