It's a 1982D LMC small date zinc.
This is where I looked it up

Hmm, I was mostly going off the shape of the mint mark, especially the inner shape is the same. And the trust looks right to me. But now that I look closer at the pillars I see that the source has die cracks on the pillars where I at first thought they were showing something more like doubling.

I'm a total novice so as a learning question I'll ask about the pillars on my coin. They seem to show doubling. Am I wrong?

Well, a DDO is a doubled-die-obverse, so the columns wouldn't show doubling, as they're on the reverse. I don't see any kind of doubling in any of your pictures. The reason why the site you linked shows some pictures of the reverse is for matching die markers, like gouges or cracks in the die that can be used to verify that it's a match for a given variety.
