Sometimes I have luck with http://www.numista.com

I'll try a country and add the number on the coin. Sometimes this works. Other times try to google something like this...."images of asian coins with a 10". Sometimes it works. If you see the picture/image of the coin then just click on the picture which usually tells what the coin is.

I'd say a 10 yuan from Taiwan between 1981 and 2000. can't tell you the exact date.

Year Date is 1978.

No, the date is "year 78 of the Republic", which would be 1989.

I have to get that straight from not just reading from face of coin, but when it was minted. The US coins are plain and simple.
