Hi 'slcutguy' to the forum!

I am by no means an 'experienced' grader, but a couple of things stand out to me with this coin.

The coin is in a 2x2 holder and not in a sealed holder from a grading company like PCGS or NGC. Having said that, it means the coin is readily accessible.

You see how the high points on the coin are very shiny & lustrous, an unsealed coin such as this should have some form of 'dirt' or 'toning' evident on the high points.

Also, look on the obverse around the words "In God We Trust." Do you see the light 'halo' around the letters. That is a sign the coin has possibly been cleaned.

Don't get me wrong, your coin is absolutely beautiful, but that in itself would cause me to be a little more sceptical. So, my 'uneducated' guess would be that the coin has been cleaned or at a minimum, dipped.

I hope I am wrong, but that is my opinion. It is still a great coin with a lot of very nice details!

After taking a good look after I received this coin It was obvious that it had been cleaned. I have talked with the auction house in Ia that I bought it from and they have agreed to a full refund. Thanks guys for your input, it is knowledge every day that really helps a novice like myself.

FlipofaCoin nailed this one. I think this coin has great MS details but it has been cleaned.
