I am a big SML collector, but just normally the privy type or the fractional sets. This is my first large bullion type. I bought it because I loved the look. The leaves do not show it but are proof like, just like the regular bullion coins.

Quote: So I spent some time comparing my 1891 5 cent coin pics against DEVLEC's The truly best part is to find them,..identify them and then get the photos in here for all to enjoy. Keep the hunt going..!!

Cool 1916,..but how does that cent get stretched out like that ?
It's not round,..and it's not oval..it's pulled all over the place.
..and is that a real "flat" clip ?..or did someone slice a piece of that cent off ?

It seems to me like a Flipped Brockage from what I can tell. The Obv. Legend & King's portrait is struck into the coin and it looks like a off center strike, so maybe something about the collar not being secure. Could be a lot of things. What bugs me is the obverse side being so worn or squeezed flat which makes me wonder if it's PMD...

Ok DBM but isn't that what happens in the case of a Brockage ? At least as you see on the reverse...
