This was my most recent Canadian coin purchase, but was still a while back.

My favorite Canadian coins would be my 1992 silver proof quarter set, but I don't have any decent pics of that yet. I really like that set because everyone made such a huge deal about the U.S. State Quarters being so original in 1999, but Canada had already done it :D

Looking for a 2004 50 cent piece last night, I ran across the 2004 Specimen set for only $12.99. This is cheaper than most sellers want just for the 50 cent piece. It has the Canada Goose loonie as well. This coin is valuable too. Hard to find one for $12.99! So it is on it's way, filling the '04 50 cent hole and feeding my loonie appetite.

I just got it in the mail from out of country auction (Stacks + Bowers) a 1882 OBV 1 SSN that I thought was the double D's in DEI and Canada. The D in DEI looks right but the D in Canada I'm not sure its different than my other one that I have what are your thoughts on it

Jim, I've really never known about or looked for the '82 double D's. I have probably a hundred '82 Obv 1, 1a's and 1a/1's. I'll look and see what's there when I have time. Have we ever discussed this on some of the coin sites?

We did discuss the double D's somewhere Okie I can't remember if it was on Canadian Copper Coins or on this site but I couldn't find the old trend on this coin. I'll start a new post on topic

Absolutely gorgeous coin Andy888.
Note the repunched N in CANADA.

@papeldog that is correctly attributed as OBV2, I in GRATIA points to a denticle.

Finally found a 1914 worthy of the collection. This date is tough in unmolested condition, in my experience easily the most difficult George to find decently struck and unmarred by some sort of corrosion unless it's a Gem Red. Ex-ICCS 63RB and well worthy of that, I think.

I have purchased 3 out of 4 to keep up with my Canada 5 cent set.
That brings the total of 213 coins from 1922 to date.

2018 specimen
2018 regular proof-like
and
2018 silver proof
Canada nickels.
The regular nickel cameo proof isn't out yet.
Glad there's only 4 I have to get this year unless somebody knows of any others.
