I would say a re-strike on both sides is well beyond a "defacement"

I believe that Carr's over-strike causes this once "coin of the realm" to no longer be worth face value, does it not? In order for this coin to be a re-strike, would it not have to once again be a mint product? Or, on the flip-side are we to now judge counterstamped coins as re-strikes?

If you like, DNA, I'll compromise with you, and we can call this once "coin of the realm" a de-strike that's been re-faced!

Count me as a fan and one who says get a grip to those that lose it. And I do believe he has done a 32 or 33 Buffalo. I pretty much want all of these pieces.

I've seen his other coins and the quality is usually top notch. This one at first glance looks like it came from China, detail is lacking and not one of his better works.

His 1964-D Peace dollars are amazing.

That '75 Ike is great also. That's why I am surprised the 31-S SLQ looks so poor.
