Hello all,
I am wondering if anyone has any knowledge of this coin. Was checking with a scope to see if it was an open or closed 3 and was a bit shocked to find the overdate! I cannot find any info on the variety. Can anyone help? You can even see some doubling of the 7!
I have uploaded a pic of the date, but the coin is AG.

Thanks!!

That's a nice RPD!
I think it matches the Snow-1 1873 Open 3 1/1 (s) 73/73 (n)

Thanks DVCollector!
Not so hard to find on the net now that I have the designation! I guess it might be time to get a book on copper varieties. Web works fine for Lincolns, but anything else is tough to find.
What is the best resource to get? Any that include prices?
Thanks.

Rich Snow has written attribution guides for the whole IHC series--he is the recognized expert on these coins. The guides show a photo of the variety, a description, and a estimate of value. More info here on his guides

I'll second DV Collector's comments on Rick Snow, heck of a nice guy, and super knowledgable when it comes to anything FEC and IHC related! I'm proud to call him a friend too. Seriously get his attribution guides.
