I purchased this PCGS MS66 Ike last week.

In looking at it closer, I noticed notching on some of the letters ( F and all of the letters in AMERICA, plus some stars, the 2 LL's in dollar, one of the islands and the end of the olive branch.

I sent a batch of pics to Dr Wiles (CONECA) for his review/expertise.

Meanwhile, here are some pics of the doubling. I can't match this to any CONECA file and the closest to it is from John Wexler's book Ath Ref on Eisenhower dollars, Second Edition - Pg 78 for 71S DDO-001 and PG 128- DDR002.

Opinions welcomed.

Apparently there are a huge number of doubled dies for '71-S. My understanding is that the Ike Group folks are working on a catalog system to organize them.

You should ask Tom Kalantzas, PM me for his information. He charges $15 per coin and his specialty is DDs. He is doing Ike attributions for ANACS and he's highly capable of recognizing your DDR.

Looks like a bit of minor doubled die and Machine Doubling on the LL on DOLLAR.
