Hello all,

A while ago I decided to expand on my Lincoln Cent collection by starting to collect world coins that depict a portrait of Abraham Lincoln, (my favorite US President). Today I added another Gold Abraham Lincoln Coin to my collection. It is a Republic of Equatorial Guinea Gold Proof Coin with a minted value of 500 Pesetas. The coin contains little more than 1/5 of an ounce of gold. I ended up paying $335.00. Based on the current spot price of gold a fifth of an ounce of gold is valued at $316.00. Shipping is $3.00. The total cost is $338.00. So I ended up paying $19.00 over spot. I think I did pretty good and it will go great with my Abraham Lincoln world coin collection.

I figured that my Lincoln Cent Collection is almost finished. I just picked up a 1918 Illinois US Commemorative so now my Commemorative Lincoln Collection is finished.

The next challenge were World Commemoratives depicting Lincoln. It might be me, but I find the designs on world commemoratives to be superior to most US coins. It will make a nice addition to my already growing collection.

I just got a surprise in the mail today. My new Gold Lincoln coin. Like most coins I have purchased from ebay, this one looks so much better in person. Now I have to add a few silver coins to my collection.
