I have a 1866 3 cent coin that is missing 1/3rd of the right hand side, I'm thinking it might be a clipped planchet. has anyone seen one of these before? ill get pictures up tonight as well.

A clipped coin should show the "blakesley effect" if it is a real clip.

Photos will definitely help us to determine if it is indeed a real clipped coin.
