All or nothing an the Hessian mercenaries took it on the chin, they never saw it coming. That gave them key supply's to make it through the winter, many troops re-enlisted, and most importantly the confidence they had been lacking....
If that does not happen, I don't think the USA would have been successful in their attempt at Independence. Buying time was the key to victory, as Britain could not sustain such a long distance war at such cost, esp once the french got involved....
And who taught them how to fight in the jungle an forest an to use them to their advantage, the native Americans like depicted in that first picture, never seen that one before, great piece....
