Hi guys

Is this normal for an American penny to have the "USA of America" so close to the edge of the coin...?

Thanks

I am pretty sure it is normal. Also your coin appears to be a Later Die Stage which will make the letters look wider than they did on the original new die. I have seen some coins with letters all the way to the rim.
