Hi, I am new to the forums but was hoping that someone could help me. I recently came across the coin pictured below and was wondering if anyone could tell me more about it. I did a search on Google but didn't come up with anything useful. On the coin it says "Einigkeit Recht Freiheit - 10 Euro". The back of the coin says "Deutschland Europa 1998". On the card it is on, it says "A commemorative collecitble from Deutsche Funds". I assume that this was handed out before the Euro was actually used and I wondered if this was worth anything. Thanks!

I'm not familar with this particular coin, but there were many similar unofficial "euros" in the mid and late 90's. The name "euro" wasn't protected before 1998, so could anyone made his own euros back then. Similar coins are selling quite well (IMO) - starting price is usually the same what it says on the "coin".

Thank-you, I appreciate the input! I will probably put it on ebay one of these days.
