I bought this from the mint to see what it really was and thought I would share. It is a great starter set for any YN and even a nice set for the not so newbies. I was reading in CoinWorld that they will be reducing the price and changing the coins to 2007 some time this year. This set has 2005 coins in it. Hope you all enjoy....

Tim

Yes, the set has been lowered in price from $14.50 to $11.95. I don't know when the 2007 dates will go into effect.

I agree. I bought this set too and I have been collecting coins for a few years now and Its great not just for beginners but for even advanced collectors as it offers a glimpse into the Coin manufacturing process in more detail.

Its a great set.

OK I think you got me intereted. I've been a coin collector for well over 60 years now but I may send in for that item. If it really is as good as you've mentioned, I'd like to give about 15 to 20 of them away for Christmas.

Thanks for sharing, it looks like a really nice cool set for a collector ... and not necessarily just beginners either!
