Thx cladhunter, that is the general area I think it belongs. I can't seem to find a copper one with no legend in the guide. It looks like LC48 but I really don't think that this is brass. I suspect it is a variety of some sort but not sure which...

I hope you figure it out. I do not have a guide to look through. I'm sure someone on here will chime in with a educated opinion. Cool token though. I love the patina on it.

That's an LC-48C2.

Is it brass TF-01 (Courteau Co01T) or copper TF-42 (Courteau Co01BH) ?

Brass; rarity 2, copper; rarity 10 !!

Thanks all! I am pretty sure that this is copper, although I have been wrong before. It is a very dark colour with hints of red. The patina looks like copper to me. I would say I am 99% sure it is copper. I have never seen the Couteau catalogue. Is there one on line anywhere? Or a place you can buy one?

The grade here is quite decent, so it should be pretty easy to either confirm or not confirm what it is...
