I found this 1967 LMC in a roll that I got from the bank this week. I was taking a picture because the coin has some cool toning...but as I was re-sizing the picture I noticed the initials by the Lincoln Memorial...do they look double to you?

Your right about the tone, these ones always catch my eye to. About the doubling, the image is just not clear enough to offer an idea at this time, sorry. If you upload some better images, preferably not at an angle, the experts can then tell you for sure.

Ohh Nice find , In great shape for a 67 roll find . (liken the colors as well Very nice) But , tough to honestly tell with the "FG". I kinda can see the Shift to the "LEFT" I think .. and from what my gut wants to say is the dreaded Machine Doubling .. But with the coin in hand , Did you try to go over the one link I shared that had CopperCoins write up about Machine vs Hub doubling ? Maybe worth alittle time comparing to his write-up/drawings ? Good luck RocktownGal .!! Nice Looking coin either way !! Phil \m/

I'm sorry but that picture is not at an angle...and I do have the smaller picture with the initials at the bottom of the larger pictures. Not sure how much clearer you want.

Phil I went to Coppercoins site to look at the date for that coin and did not see one on this particular item (initials)...I will go check out the other site now...have not had time to read through those just yet. Thanks!

We need to be able to see the FG better, a large clear image is all we need and it was just a reminder not to angle the coin for the picture. Good luck!

Phil, went to the site and really read it. 1. I do not think it is MD because the area is not flatten like the MD picture. 2. I know its not the normal one...because there is doubling of some kind there. So that leave 1 of 2 things...it is either doubling or Die Deterioration. I am suspecting the first. I took the picture with a 30 loop. I did the best I can with the camera I have. Sorry no one is able to help with the pictures I did put up.

I can not find any information on a DDR or DDO for LMC dated 1967, anywhere.
