I will say it is a regular piece of circulation coinage from the early 1940's... so it is silver, and not some piece of NCLT or medal/token or such.

I do know what a gargoyle is, but I don't know exactly what that ^^^ is supposed to represent. It is not attached to a church... or anything else on the coin's depiction.

Ouch! Thatsa quick andyg! That put a damper on the parade because I thought this would be a real stumpfest... a curve to South/Central Americas perhaps? If anyone knows why this type of picture/symbol appears as such on this piece do tell. I've searched for an hour or so and can't find a meaning for it.

Another thing... the picture I've posted is upright, on the coin he's laying down.

Okay, so that really narrows it down... Slovakian early 1940's silver. Anyone, anyone?

Well, when you put it that way! There are not too many early Slovak coins to begin with.
Turning the guy was a nasty little trick! Worked on me - I marched right by.
