Being originally from Nova Scotia, I have a small side collection of "transit tokens" from the Halifax Dartmouth Bridge Commission. I notice there are several types, or generations, of tokens for the various class vehicles, which also appear to have been struck in 3 (or more) metals/finishes.

Does anyone have any reference information on how these tokens are classified?

Thanks in advance.

Judging by the response, I guess I picked a really obscure collection theme. I will do some literature searching, and if I can't find anything, perhaps it is time to line up the tokens under the XRF I have here at work and write a numismatic paper for the CN Journal.

You might consider a copy of Atwood-Coffee Catalogue of United States and Canadian Transportation Tokens. Great reference material and I know of none better.
