I've noticed for two day now I need to scroll horizontally to read the posts under general discussion. It doesn't seem to be an issue on the other pages. I wonder what's up with that?

I just went through 5 or 6 of them and it's fine for me. Is it every topic or just some? Can you give me a specific example?

I was retracing my steps and couldn't find it. When/if I see another one I'll post details here.

I had that too, I believe only in threads where large images are inserted, the forum is unable to narrow down after the images are resized.

for instance Pets topic, http://coincommunity.com/forum/topi...PIC_ID=11904

I use firefox if that detail helps.

Bobby, here's an example of what TSmith3510 is referring to.

I come across the same problem occasionally but never noted in which threads. The page width is about 3 times the screen width but only whilst the 'receiving traffic' lights are still flickering. Once the lights stop flickering the horizontal width returns to normal. Because I'm on dial-up, this is sometimes 20-30 seconds. Helpful I hope.
regards,

If it helps, I have never had this issue. I can click on Mila's link, and visit the pet topic and nothing out of the ordinary.

The only time I ever have this problem on my PC is when I open email from my brother on my home email account. It stretches for days, and I can go to the next person/mail, and it is back to normal.

No idea why his does that, so I would ask the computer experts, is there a pattern to "one member" that posted on the topic in each and every instance this has happened? Does that make sense?

This one..

http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/..=11856#11856

was because hadlydog's images had no space or linebreak between them.

The pet's thread looks fine for me, I'm not sure why it's doing it for others. I've made a tweak, see if it's ok now.

Grovey's pic in the pet thread is the culprit; every pic in the forum which is larger than my screen still causes my browser page to size as if the pic were full-size.

I am 99% convinced that this is a FF bug from a recent update. It does it for me now in FF and it never did. IE is fine.

I found this...
quote:
The option for "Shrink to fit" has been removed in Firefox 2. If you wish to change this from the value you had set in your previous version of Firefox, change the value of browser.enable_automatic_image_resizing.

Here...

No amount of tweaking or disabling will fix it in FF, I've disabled any changes done here with images in the last 6 months and the issue still exists only in FF, where it never did before.

I'll try it in IE, if I can get you to send me my password. It apparently only exists in Firefox's password cache.
