Customer gets $50 gift card, doesn't like the store, too far away, whatever. You look it up, find the current value, pay half of that. Use it yourself, re-sell at 75%, or sell on ebay. I used to see offers of 35% of the value but with more and more people doing it the percentages are going up to 50-65%, I saw 1 guy who was buying them for 85% of the value(that makes no sense to me). Seems very unsafe to me especially through craigslist. You buy a $100 gift card to homedepot from someone and before you get to use it, they can use it online. Report this Post to the Staff
