This is not PMD. It happened at the mint. The die had a little obstruck on the die and that are was not formed. We refer to as a "Struck through error." Probably grease and chzman mentioned. Probably not worth a premium. But if larger areas would be affected, some collectors will buy these.

Yay! Thanks, right now I am just working on being able to identify errors so this one equals success in my book. I finally found a mint error WOOHOO!
