Hello
I found this 1955 NSF Penny while CRH a few months ago. Is a penny like this recommended to be graded professionally no matter what grade it is? Thanks.

What grade do you guys feel this falls under?

they may not give it a grade due to big ding in rim...it could come back as damaged with no number grade.
like VF details?

Does ICCS or CCCS NOT mark coins as damaged/cleaned with no number grade...like NGC & PCGS?

Daniels - I think it's approx $15 if just sending 1 coin in.
Penny4me - I didn't think the rim nick was that bad to be discarded by the grading company. I am new so I'm not sure. I thought I have seen graded coins in the past that give a grade and then have rim nick written beside it. Not sure though.

Nice coin Coin Chick, I had one about the same grade as this one a couple months back and, put it on ebay, it sold for $180.00, not graded.
