Hello,

After 25 years of collecting coins, I decided to finally join the ANA today. (better late than never) While I have known of the ANA, I don't really know about the ANA.

What are the benefits of joining the ANA?

That link is for clubs.

I'm looking to join soon as well. The main benefit seems to be the magazine (The Numismatist), which is why I'm joining. The lending library may also be very useful.

You become a member of very august and prestigious group of numismatists, internationally recognised.

The only thing it cannot have is that title of 'Royal' in front of it's name.

I like the sound of it:
The Royal American Numismatic Association.

On the humorous side, it would be a bit like having an
Irish King of England.

Sort of becoming a title for people to brag about too. Many dealers like to mention all the organizations they belong to and that is one of them. To many it is sort of like posting your college degrees on the walls.
At coin shows many dealers may have that motation on their tables saying Member of the ANA.

Always think about getting coin, gun, knife, etc types of magazines in the mail. Pending on where you live and how your mail is shown. If such items stick out of the mail box, it sort of like saying this is what I've got, come take it. Also, remember that not all postal people are saints.

That will be a nice benefit, since I will be attending the Philadelphia show. I didn't know it will get you in the show for free, I thought maybe a discount. Extra money for new coins.

I look forward to seeing all CCF members there.
