Not exactly a roll find, but one of my grandmother's friends managed to find an 1955-S Wheat cent in circulation.
And I'm fairly sure they actually found it in circulation, despite never even seeing most of those friends (and not even knowing which friend it was). Why I'm so sure then, one would say?
Well, it's actually very easy... none of them collect coins

What happened was: they were asked to get some foreign change from their international trips by my grandmother who told them that I collect coins. In the resulting bunch of random world money I found an 1955-S cent. Didn't even know just how uncommon it was until checking the mintages here

More on-topic: I've heard stories of finding ancient coins in rolls, which is probably about as weird as it gets. Anything else* is believable (as long as the size realistically fits - there's obviously no large dollars in rolls of anything smaller!)

*) Well, minus the coins with a limited mintage all accounted for - but I can't think of any at the moment.

There was someone a while ago that posted that they found an ancient Roman in the reject slot of a coin counting machine. Pretty crazy but I could see that happening.
