I like them. I think they are the best looking one to date. I was fortunate enough to have a forum member send me a D mint. Now all I need is a P mint.

It is the 2nd best designed State Quarter after Delaware, IMO. I'm from CA and our design sucked big time even thou John Muir was a True American HERO. Now I have to buy one of those Spanish Trail Commemorates and I'm sure the price will NOW skyrocket. Dang, should have got one earlier. I will be seriously looking for errors on the Montana State Quarter, they will have a huge premium IMO

nds76,
It is a bison skull on the Montana quarter. But it IS a nice, simple design. At the official quarter launch in Helena there were several protesters carrying signs saying murdered about the bison. Kind of ruined part of the festivities. We were able to buy 10 rolls there on January 29 so we have been handing them out and enjoying them too.

You are right drycreek, that critter on the Montana Quarter is a Buffalo skull. I was about to tell errorcoins to get one of the quarters that nds76 has, and he would have his first error coin. I will agree with you on looks, but these are going to be real bears to keep looking nice with that big, open area around the skull to pick up ever ding and dent that comes it's way.

Tykimeister, just a suggestion for what it's worth, but I believe you would have better luck finding a trading partner is you posted this in the 'buy, sell, trade forum. That is where one would expect to find this offer.

Dan, Why do constantly put people down, you must be a hater.
I beginning to believe you have no idea what an error coin is. Many of the errors I have are one-of-a-kind coins that no one else can own and carry a substantial premium. And talk about eye appeal, well my coins are top notch as I'm an artist and know great eye candy when I see it.
Grow up Old Dan, Don't be a hater

Tykimeister, I will get you two rolls to trade or just get them for you. we always get them here the P mints since the 1st in 1999 my bank has received them seems like last. I was there again today they aid any day now they should have them. I always get at least six rolls, one for myself and five for whatever so if you can wait I will trade.
I need the D mints always will also trade you for the rest to come out yet if you want. If anyone else needs a roll of P mints email me I will see how many I can get just keep going to diffetent banks as we have 10,000 here.

I like the Montana quarter. It's the best of this year with Wyoming running a close second. But I don't think any of this year's will take the prize. (Why oh why did Idaho have to put that map on the field ). I think 3 out of five of last year's coins, Nevada, Nebraska and N. Dakota are sublime, and the best of the series so far. I'm glad that most people prefer simpler, single-themed designs. I do too. I do understand however, that some might find Nevada too busy, and the Nebraska covered wagon is headed in the wrong direction, etc.

I think Old Dan was just showing a sense of humor. I thought it was a funny comment.
Regarding the Montana quarter, I have mixed feelings. A buffalo skull wouldn't have been my first choice, but then Montana isn't my state, and for some strange reason nobody asked my opinion!
