djluster Pillar of the Community United States 1327 Posts	Posted 02/15/2007 3:12 pm Ok though it would be fun to post wnat responce we have got on the new dollar and who have spent them so far. I have been stuck at work and now home for a few hour before going back to work so I have not been anywhere to spend them yet. I fell as collector we should make sure to be getting these and spending them as well as collecting them that way there will be more interst in them and maybe one day do away with the Paper dollar. so thought it would be great to see where you first used it and there resonce to them. edix Valued Member United States 270 Posts	Posted 02/15/2007 3:20 pm Exchanged FRNs for three at post office with tellers who loved them. Gave five away as tips to Starbucks baristas, who lit up. Gave one to my girlfriend during lunch to show around at her job. Put a few away for myself and will take the rest of what is left of two rolls to the local coin club meeting tonight for show and tell. Report this Post to the Staff

Maybe when CoinGirl and CoinBoy get home from school we can go spend a few! They are going to be so excited to see them. Since we are in Colorado, we have Denver mint coins --- anyone on the East Coast want to trade some Denver mints for Philly mints? Report this Post to the Staff

Bought some Polish cookies at a fund raiser and used one of the dollar coins to buy them. The person looked at it and just put it away with the dollar bills. :) Report this Post to the Staff
