Hi Everyone,

I was intrigued by the rim and color of this penny. the right ridge appears doubled with small breaks also the face is red and turning the coin on its side shows red.

Thanks

Now that's my kind of penny! I collect them. I am doing a series...minus the green... they are very colorful, eye catching

I like your tweezer photo, like a real coin laboratory you've got going on over there! LOL Welcome to the community!

I sometimes see more modern LMC , and they start to get this patina, I then wonder what history has in store for them, and what some of the LWC that are woodies looked like at this age.

the breaks on the rim are PMD the coin is a little offcenter but not to the extent that it is worth a premium but nice coin to keep for copper.

I kinda like the green growing substance. I (not by design) threw a cent that looked like that in with some wheat cents I had and started a whole collection of green growing coins
